I'm happy and pleased to have this lily blooming (miniature calla) but sad at the same time. It makes me miss Mom, miss bringing her things, miss knowing that even if she couldn't focus on the flowers I knew that she liked them anyways. The Amaryllis Show yet continues:

Like you my mom is my best friend. I can't imagine your grief. I know one day she will leave me too and I don't know how I will deal with it. She's the closest person in the world to me and loves flowers like your mom. Always keep her close in your memory and do something special to honor her this MOther's day. I know it will be a hard holiday this year and will be thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteI have a lovely pot of white calla lilies in my house. I'll plant them with the pinks in one of the flower beds when it cools off this fall.
